one of my friends asked me to design him a tatoo like this one. at that time i had no idea how to draw a lizard. as a matter of fact, i still don't.many references were used for this one. it took some time to actually learn some basics of reptile anatomy, but i still ended up drawing some kind of hybrid, not similar to any living species of a lizard. oh well... life.
there are some mistakes here - mostly due to my carelessness, but they're nothing major so i guess i can be somewhat satisfied with the general effect.
and it seems that my scanner really doesn't like my b6 pencil heh
if you know what is this this thing that the lizard is holding onto - than you might congratulate yourself, since you belong to the cooler part of the world. if you don't... well, type it into wikipedia or ask your brazilian neighbour about it.
oh, damn. i nearly forgot: please remember that a kitty dies, a baby whale is eaten alive, a puppy is hit by a car and five-legged cow gets shot in the head every time you write a three words comment with a little meaning.

That is the coolest design. the use of the capoeira is awesome. i spent time in brazil and want a tat with similar ideas

The lizard itself does look a little foldy, but personally, I'm diggin' it. Kind of looks like a crested Gecko, if the head had a bit more "hornage" to it.

heh, you're right. there's no pedra. i mean, i didn't draw caxixi, since i was too lazy, but i do have to admit that i completely forgot about pedra. well, now that i think of it i don't really see any space to put it here anyway, so i guess it doesn't really matter heh

there is only one thing i can say that is actualy bothering me about this. the texture of the lizard looks like some smooth cloth, not rough reptile skin..and the main body is not so wrinkled...do i get a free bananana nao?

now, look above the picture and check those two words under my nick. It says "tatoo design", right? so yeah, you've got answer to the smooth texture.
if there were actually scales there or something, it'd take godly level of tatoo artist's skills to tatoo it and have it look cool. .... well, maybe it wouldn't take all that much skill, but it would take considerabely more money - and that is something my friend (the one i designed this little fellow for) wouldn't want heh
well, that's my reason... or rather an excuse heh. truth to be told i was to lazy to apply some scaly texture there. too much work

man, that doesnt explain anything! if this is only a desighn, and not the actual tattoo, it could have the texture. but yeah, u r right, who would have the patience to do that kind of stuff, anyway
