I have to admit I wasn't sure if this was a direct parody of a specific webcomic, so many of them were kind of like this with one or two "hot girls" living with or one or two gamers.
It's a great attempt at a 2005ish webcomic.Β ...although Roxxie makes the comic...

I mean, Roxxie is pretty much the only reason that I ever read Da Stankshack. I think Leif caught on to that because she took a larger role in the latter half of the comic's run.

Yet over the last two weeks I saw multiple artists on twitter get harassed by the self-professed art police for daring to draw ladies with slightly exaggerated feminine features.

All things being equal, I'm on whatever side that would ask that women not be treated like shit, since men(the ones traditionally in power) have a vocal contingent among them who say that women don't deserve to NOT be treated like shit. And there were a LOT of comics back in the day that had women ONLY as an excuse to draw tits(not that I'm against tits, that's why I'm here) and use them as the butt of jokes made by the male characters. I don't think it's unreasonable to take umbrage with that.
Personally I don't think the fact that someone complained about something is enough to negate that, especially when they aren't even directly related. It's like saying me complaining about the food at the local burger joint means it's justified when someone else tells everyone that I eat children. It makes no sense.
Besides, I think part of the reason these dramas arise is because someone makes a joke ("where are her organs") and construes that as an attack("women are dumb"), or conversely tries to cover an attack as a joke.Β Twitter is a hotbed of people twisting each others' words to fit some narrative that doesn't even apply.
Woot at least has the self-awareness to mock these kinds of hackneyed jokes in the form of a parody of a comic type that was already annoying fourteen years ago. I don't get the feeling that Woot is a misogynist at all, based on what I've seen of his art and the way he carries his characters.

Yeah, Woot doesn't like...demand you conform to a particular shape or size with his work in the way that a lot of the old comics have a very...factory-like standard for the female body.
Too many artists stop at one reference point for the female form and just draw the same wasp-waisted lady with a bit of a butt, a mildly toned stomach that is fit without being ripped, and boobs within a very specific set of sizes.Β
Like go look at the Nu52 redesign of Amanda Waller if you want to see this at its most absurd.Β Whoever they got probably *couldn't* draw Amanda Waller as she's supposed to be, so just took the Amanda Waller outfit and put it on the same medium-chested skinny tallish lady in her early 20's they always draw. Defeats the entire fucking point of her design, it'd be like making Granny Goodness look like Saturn Girl

I've seen way more cases of people harassing people saying "man where are their organs?" in private, on their own blogs, not at all directed at anybody specific.

B) The critique was of the lazy writing endemic of the genre at the time, and
C) Even if it was about gamergate equivocating the two "sides" is wildly ignorant at best and maliciously disingenuous at worst.
