I I were to place all four of these girls into Zelda races...
1. Vindra would probably be a Zora, even if those big ol' bitties would hamper her swimming.
2. Koli would make for a very pugilistic Gerudo, something we don't see often (read "at all").
3. I kinda want to make Bessa a Great Fairy, no matter HOW much that would break!
4. Solmede would probably be a Hylian, seeing as paladin's are holy warriors, right?

Nice quartet! I just have one odd thought: isn't an amazon with big breasts kind of a contradiction in terms? (Yes, I know that WW was/is an Amazon, but I wondered even then. I also realize that the term no longer means what it meant to the Ancient Greeks.)

To be fair, there's a lot of historical evidence that the legends of the Amazons doing nasty things (cutting off their own boobs, killing all their male children, etc) was just Anti-Scythian propaganda by Greece.

Given where the Amazons were supposed to live, that's more than mildly likely.
However, Homer does have Amazons fighting at Troy during the Trojan War. There's likely something to all this, just not breastless women. Also, the homeland given in mythology is on the Turkish, or southern, side of the Black Sea, which is nowhere near Scythia.

I do recall reading a theory once, that for a span of about 30 years or so there was a Scythic colony on the south of the black sea as they fled from some internal dispute. Can't seem to find it at the moment, but there are ruins on the island of Giresun (Giresun Adasi) which is in the Pontic region of Turkey, and may have Scythic origins (before later being used by the Romans.)
Either way, it's all very interesting stuff. Whether the myth conflated multiple groups of people, who can tell? Might be so.
