The Kool Whip was on sale, but she thought the Whipped Topping might still be less expensive per ounce because it came in a larger container. Before she could verify this with the calculator function on her phone, it started to ring. Hmm- the number wasn't on her contact list. "Hello, this is Paula."

"Paula, hi." Oh god, it was the Dean. "I haven't heard from you like I was hoping to. How are you progressing with your- ah, how shall we say, intelligence gathering? It's been a little over two weeks."

She had been dreading this call, yet she had expected it. After that first night spent crouched in the bushes, she knew she couldn't bear to provide Tillsdale with any evidence of Vander House's wrongdoings. They were good girls. She would stick up for them.

Still, the call had come in a bad place. Paula looked around to make sure nobody else in the supermarket would be able to hear what she had to say. "Ah, yes. Uh, I thought long and hard about it, about what you said. The 'pics or it didn't happen thing'? And you know, what consenting adults do in the privacy of their own homes really isn't any of our business."

There was a worrying vein of amusement in the Dean's voice. "I understand that you're *such* an admirer of personal privacy, but might I remind you that Vander House is on university property, and thus is subject to its laws. If they're ignoring their charter, we have to take action. And we can only do that if we have proof. I'm just disappointed that the young woman that brought this infraction to my attention, someone who seemed *so eager* to obtain that proof, has had a change of heart. Have you lost track of what's right and wrong?"

"Absolutely not. I know that spying on students is wrong." Paula was glad the dean couldn't see her blush when she said that. "I'm not going to be a part of your sordid little... operation."
