It's tough to get the pencil tool to do what you want it to do sometimes. I normally skip doing line weight because it's just another step. I think it adds a lot though.

Ah, oops! When I first saw this pic I was instantly reminded of an another artist I've seen whilst trolling around for art on DA, and I was wondering if this was a tribute or fanart piece. Obviously I've totally grabbed the wrong end of the stick.
