sans has been split across the underground and now everyone down there has a piece of him, usually whatever was most significant to them about him (with many exceptions)
in order, they are
Flowey - smug, more game-breaking
Toriel - the promise (is more protective of Frisk)
Napstablook - not really a personality trait so much as getting his trombone
Papyrus - the laziness
Undyne - the creepiness
Alphys - good friend qualities, general social ability
Mettaton - the comedy
Asgore - the confidence (around toriel which then expands into being more truthful bc that alone doesn't do much for him)
Frisk is the same, just has their clothes changed to fit
coincidentally, most of the characters ended up with jackets in one way or another
