Description
One of my failed entries in the Blizzard Fan Art competition.I spent a ridiculous amount of time on this, and in hindsight I'd say I spent too much time on it. I was worried about all the little details that it all sort of merged together.
Still, this was only my fourth or fifth digital painting, so it's not too bad considering.

Underwater? That's a different take on it.
Maybe it's because of the smooth, sandlike texture of the ground.

Well, I think it's the way the sky blends. And the things in the sky look like they could fit in underwater, and then the smoke coming off the tank kinda looks like seaweed or somethin'.. I dunno.. the whole thing just feels sub-marine.
