Turns out, its VERY, VERY HARD!
This one was made for a contest over at .
One of the "adventurous" things suggested was space travel. Considering the 200+ hours of Kerbal Space Program I've clocked recently, I figured this would be appropriate. Β
Oh, and we can thank for helping me with the dialogue. Again.

As soon as I saw the rocket I knew the artist MUST play KSP. Even though the rocket's aesthetic isn't Kerbal, the design style is unmistakable.

Aww, poor Scootaloo! And what's worse is that she actually did a lot of hard work and tackled some serious engineering problems to get working engines. Too bad she didn't take into account the forces, or at least perfect her emergency escape system (or is the blue barrel for maneuvering). Yes, along with the cuteness of the detail you did a great job getting all of the elements of a real rocket, even the stages andΒ those fire extinguishers for attitude control, etc. She must have read the same books I did. The cockpit is perfect Scootaloo too.

Pretty adorable styling on the CMC as well, and it's a very funny strip. Let's just hope Scootaloo isn't in too much physical pain β her pride will definitely sting for a bit. Let's hope her friends can cheer her up somehow.π: 0 β©: 0

They should've just gotten a bigass meteorological balloon.
Fun fact, the gravity at the altitude the International Space Station orbits is only a little bit smaller than at the Earth's surface; they appear to be "weightless" up there 'cause they are falling together with the station (orbiting means you're falling sideways so fast that you miss the ground).

I wouldn't put past Scoots to jump from a high altitude balloon to perform a sonic rainboom before she figures out how to fly... (i guess a relatively safe way to do it, without parachutes, would be to stack several clouds between the ground and her to slow her down before the very end of the fall; Twi would need to do some heavy math to figure out the exact parameters, and it would probably still need to be over water, but i think it's doable.)
