Description SO THIS WAS A BDAY GIFT FOR Zeragii
SHE’S REALLY GREAT AND HER COMICS ARE REALLY GREAT AND SHE’S A HUGE INSPIRATION AND AGH(she’s literally one of the main reason I want to do comic/animation stuff after high school and college)

Of course, it’s a few days late, but Mother’s Day and school happened, so :l

I took a few creative liberties with a a few(as in most) things. The shading was really difficult. Like, several hours. I don’t even want to talk about how long the whole composition took me. I went for one of those abstract backgrounds that mostly just draws off of the characters’ main colors, if that makes any sense. All in all, I’m really proud of it and it’s a bday gift for one of my favorite people on this website, so it was super worth it! I actually feel like I improved a little bit through this one, so that makes it even more worth it! I’m gonna try to post on here a bit more after finals in June, so look out for that lol

Hope you like it, Zeragii!

Edit: So, it’s been like a month or so since I posted this, but I went back and changed a few small things that were kind of nagging at me. Anyways, bye!

Gah where do I even start?? The colors are amazing. Shading? On point 👌 Emotion? Really felt that. The mere fact that it’s undertale? Yes.

Besides EVERYTHING great about your drawing, I love how you added Sans' mouth as a little sliver at the bottom of his head! It really shows the emotions he is feeling, and skeltons are hard to draw. Great job!

Thanks! It took me like ten million years(half an hour-ish) to get the mouth right

THIS IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!! I love all the contrasts between light and dark, and the colors are so vibrant! I also really like that abstract-y pattern behind the characters. It gives an illusion of stone, but also contains flecks of color that brightens up the whole image. Poor Sans is shaking (my poor little skelly!) and his poor soul, ugh! I love that Frisk's soul is glowing, almost as if in response to Sans's own. Flowey leaning over Sans the way he is shows his concern, and it's awesome!

Thank you so much for making this! I can see all the hard work you put into it, and I absolutely adore it!

HHHHHHHHHHHHH THANKS SO MUCH HOLY CRAP(sounds like I got what I was going for here lol, you listed p much everything)

Pfffft it’s kind of a weird thing to be proud of I think, but out of everything, I’m actually proud of how I conveyed that Sans is shaking?

Thanks again!

Heehee, you are very welcome! You did indeed! Isn't that a great feeling? ^^

You should be proud! Showing subtle things like shaking in art is not as easy as most people believe. And you did it!

Yay, me! You do all the subtle stuff really well, actually. Like the aforementioned shaking(I love pretty much everything about your comics and stuff not gonna lie they’re all just so great)!

Wait, question: How do you come up with so many great ideas? Like, you’ve got War Crimes, Deeper Down, Judge and Jury, and all those other ideas. How do you do it?

Aw, well thank you! I owe that to all the greats, the artists that inspired me: Carl Barks, Jeff Smith, Chuck Jones, Don Bluth, etc. By studying their works, I picked up on the subtle stuff. I'm just so glad that it actually works and is noticeable! XD You are very sweet I still tend to look at my art with a critical eye; I see all the mistakes and things that need to be improved...But, in a way, that's a good thing. Because a person can't get better if they can't first see their faults, and art is a journey of learning that never ends. But it's the journey that's the fun part. ^^

That is...a very good question. I love to be creative, and that goes back to the days when I was a kid, and me and my brother and sister would play for hours. When I was seven years old, my family moved from the city to the country, leaving behind all our friends and family, and a huge chunk of technology. We moved into a little trailer in the woods, bringing only what we could fit in such a small space. We had a computer (but no internet), and we had a tv (but no cable, Netflix, or...anything). So my siblings and I had to make up our own form of entertainment. We used to spend ours creating fantasy worlds, with hundreds of characters and countries with complicated backstories and governments. We were homes schooled, so once we finished our work for the day, we applied whatever we had learned into those worlds to make them more realistic. I was the character person, I came up with the people of those worlds; my brother created the languages and technology, how the different worlds we created communicated and traveled from place to place; and my sister became sort of the military expert, staging battles and wars between the worlds.

I attribute a lot of the creative stuff I do now to those days, because even though I am now 25 years old, I haven't lost the importance of the need to PLAY. Imagination is a powerful tool. People may tell you to 'grow up' the older you get, and while that is necessary in order to be a responsible adult, many adults lose the ability to imagine. Your 14 right? (i read one of your other comments below this one. not creepy at all) That's a good age. Your still young enough to know the importance of play, but old enough to start losing it. Hang on to it! You'll find some of the greatest things you ever learned to do in your life come from the days when playing games was your only priority.

So...yeah. Whew! Sorry, it's 4 in the morning and I can't sleep. Rambling isn't usually something I do. XD

Yep, I’m 14! And that’s actually a really good answer? Like woah philosophy incoming. Now for my rambling response(heheh “rambling response”) to your rambling, because rambling constitutes for more rambling

I never really thought about growing up that way. I mean, it makes sense. I guess, imagination could be defined as the ability to think in a creative way, to create new and exciting ideas, and to just...be different. And if that’s how we’re going to refer to it, then part of the reason so many adults lose that is because of the way people act today. Like, in school, the idea of conformity is basically drilled into our heads constantly(whether that’s intentional or not). And people are made fun of a lot for being different, and in some cases it’s not even a bad different. Suppression is common in the present day and age, despite all of those acceptance movements going on. All of this would usually spur a need in people to not be different, to fall in line, etc. And it sucks even more because a lot of this happens to children, in environments like school where acceptance and being nice is taught. They don’t want to get treated the way they saw the “different person” get treated, so they suppress that part of themselves, which usually ends up in them accidentally suppressing their imagination, and who they are/could be as a person. It intensifies as they get older, leading to the aforementioned unimaginative adult. And it’s honestly just....horrible. It’s not even that conformity is an inherently bad thing. Like, conformity in the way of being a good person. That would count as a good kind of conformity. It’s just that the negative forms of conformity are so much more common than they should be right now. Not everywhere/everyone is like that though, so at least we have that going for us

Yep! Rambling! I wrote most of this at like 5:45(I think we’re in the same time zone) but then I had to get ready for school lol
