Did you import her via XPS addon (2.7+) or did you pose her in XPS and converted her to wavefront to render the obj in Blender?

And nothing of the sort here happened...?

I never use the materials that the add-on generates. I make my own from the textures.

Wow, that sounds advanced. Would you be willing to share one of those setups?
A screenshot will suffice, I think I can find or create the shaders necessary.

Oh crap, my mistake. I wanted to say I make the materials separately rather than using the ones the add-on generates. I'll share you a screenshot when I'm at my PC. Also, from the looks of it, your env object may be interfering with the base model, try deleting or hiding it (it's not really necessary to use if you have a PBR setup).

This piece of information literally saved my Sommetra render - and any Overwatch renders I was planning to do but about to give up on because the surfaces of them after import into Blender were an absolute and utter mess that not even the one who ported them could help me with. Thank you so very much.

Huh so that's what she looks like without the goggles. Never actually seen her without the headpiece other than the summer outfit which really does not count since she has a different look and hairstyle.

This was my first attempt at creating her front hair which was never there in the original model and I wanted to give her a style that looked cool. Of course it doesn't look very good but later I started doing particle hair which is light years ahead of this in terms of awesomeness.

Oh, awesome render !
BTW, I used Sticklove's XLA models for blender but when I load textures they seems kind of broken. But your texture is awesome how did you do that ?

If you're using the xps import addon (which I use) and then use the convert material to cycles thingy, it will create some materials automatically but they will not look good. I am using PBR shader from blender guru (available free!!) and then tweaked settings for each material in the node editor. Using PBR materials by default will give you great results even without much tweaking. Setting up the materials for all individual objects will be time consuming initially (it's worth the effort, trust me) but you need to do it only once and then your model will look awesome in almost all possible lighting conditions. Reply here if you need more help
