Alrighty, you guys voted, I did it. All I have to say is thank goodness I have some skill with lineart because if this had to rely on my painting ability alone... yuck

LOL, I actually kinda stole / "borrowed" it from a pic I saw on FA and it just kinda seemed to fit the picture perfectly so I rolled with it.

Eh, they never turn out as good as they do in my head. I'm new to color in general (done B+W and linearts forever) and watercolors specifically. I've got a lot to learn.

I'm the same way with my writing. Somehow it just never sounds as good typed as what's running around the corridors of my mind.
I need to get my backside in gear and learn how to draw. One of my shortlist "I wish I could..." items.

It's one of those things I guess. We know how it was supposed to turn out so all we see is where it went wrong. Since nobody else knows what the image was in our mind they just see a really good picture.

Very true, but it must be more frustrating with you sink so much time into the drawing and it doesn't turn out the way you want. I delete the page, which takes a huge effort of will, and try again.

Hahaha, thanks. It's bloody hard trying to let go and just do it. You have no idea how many times this came close to being wastepaper basket fodder.
Glad I stuck with it to the end though because I don't think it turned out too badly.
