Boy, STS has been busy lately! We heard of another litter--of rough collies--and came on over! We had adopted a rough collie from them previously, named Delilah. And her father is also the same sire of this litter, Pierce, so we knew it would be pretty great litter--especially with Prado's Lluvia as the dam. We were sure right! There were 3 tricoloreds, and 4 tricolored merles. When we went into the room where Lluvia was staying, one of the little pups(a true character!) ran into our legs. Of course, STS had chosen to keep this little girl. And who couldn't? She is darling! When we walked further in the room, that one pup caught our eye--a shy little pup, reminding me of myself, who didn't quite warm up to us as fast. Flash and Thunder told us that she might be more open if shes around the livestock, which she loves, so we took her outside to the fields. Away from her siblings, she began to wag her tail and lick our hand like any other puppy would, and ran around in circles with no direction whatsoever. We began to talk about what a great addition she could be in our kennel, and that we hoped she could come home with us... but maybe we were talking a little TOO much about it... because she had ran off on her own! Oops . But keeping in mind what STS had told us, it wasn't hard to find her. She was sniffing a little lamb near all the sheep--a true herding dog! While next to the quiet little lamb, we realised how similar she was to it, and i think she might have also. (;
