Wagner has done a few drow pieces for/with me so far, and this one he tells me is a result of that.
I thought drow lovers were pretty rare too, but they're more common than even I thought.
Especially now that I'm working with Drowtales.

My girl got me into R.A a while back, and now I just can't stop reading his stuff @_@ so good... I hear they're now doing a movie with Westley Snipes though D:....... I don't think I can handle that. But I do like that R.A's doing another book x3

Well, I don't know anything about Snipes, but I know he did a book for the Star Wars saga.
And his recent collaboration for War of the Spider Queen, though not written by him, has yeilded some very nice results.

I will tell you this about drow fans that I've found thus far. WE tend to love the exoticness of the drow appearance and cultures, but we're constantly arguing about drow behaviour and what drow 'would or would not do'. Which I find irritating.

lol! Yeah. I tend to try not and get into that myself The imaginations of people in general are each too unique to grasp a full-on image of what we read from the original creator. Tho, the only thing my mind tells me about Snipes is that I can't imagine him with Drizzt's dialogue/voice.

I haven't personally had a real drow conversation with anyone but my girlfriend, and the most we've spoken of is pretty much just how much we enjoy the stories based on Drizzt.

Well (and I don['t know if you were implying this) Salvatore didn't create the drow, arguably, he just perfected them.

Snipes is not the right guy to play Drizzt Do'urden, and I have a hard time believing that anyone would make an A list movie based on the Forgotten Realms.
No, if you want Drizzt, there's ANOTHER guy from BLADE who fits the bill. If you've seen HELLBOY 2, then you know who I'm talking about.

I can't really talk about drow with my girl, she doesn't read the Forgotten REalms and has barely had any positive experiences with D&D.
