I hope you're reading Captain N, I've updated it twice since my last crackup, and it takes A LOT more effort than these do.

Does anybody remember Sonic Battle for the GBA? It's a pretty nifty fighting game set in an isometric perspective, that was introduced somewhere between Sonic Advance 2 and 3. I gotta say, I LOVE THIS GAME. I play it more than I do the sonic advance titles, and that's saying something. I rather like that Sonic Chronicles had gizoids in it as enemies because it vindicates Sonic Battle and puts it into continuity. Sonic Battle is also a boon to Sonic sprite comic authors since it's the only place where you can get sprites of Rouge, Shadow, Chaos, Gamma, and interior views of the character's homes!

The focus of Sonic Battle was the gizoid, Emerl, who you leveled up and added skills to as you played the game. There are lots of techniques to collect, even after all these years I only have 67% of them. Rarest of all are the so called "ult techniques," Emerl's most powerful moves. One of my favorites is the "ult. air action," which is basically Sonic's air jump, but it can be done an infinite number of times, allowing you to fly around the stage pretty much as long as you want. How irritating that must be to the opponent you're facing huh?
