This is incredible! For some reason it reminds me of a story by Stanislaw Lem where the main character is mistakenly locked up in an asylum for insane/defective robots. It's both funny and disturbing at the same time.

I have no idea why, but this reminds me of Indiana Jones The Last Crusade, particularly the part where they are in the blimp and the SS come to check the seating compartment. The retro-robotic style here is quite refreshing, in this age of shiny biomechanics bots (which I love dearly, don't get me wrong). Several details that I can't help but admire are the shady-looking fellow to the bottom left with his oil can. He looks like he's hiding something. I also like the rather stoic fellow right behind him with the tape player. Advanced humanoid robots with giant tape-players as mobile music devices? I do love me some anachronism stew! Needless to say you pack quite a bit of personality into these bots, and everything from the texture of the sketch to the lighting and color helps make this scene feel bot natural and downright odd. In a word: whimsical. Certainly worth the Daily Deviation, as well as a favorite and a follow. Well played, just always keep in mind that

A wonderful concept.
Further more, looking at this picture feels like a flashback to me. I travelled by rail a few weeks ago, and all the other passengers weren´t talking to each other- completely silence. Everyone was "keyboarding" with their smart phones. And that was the point when they were loosing their individual faces while I was observing them... . I guess I would have had your creatures in mind, if I had seen your work before that journey.
