My inks over Arthur Adam's pencils for HULK issue 8. Double page spread pages 10-11.When I got this page from Arthur, it wasn't drawn on two separate comic bristol boards taped together. Instead, it was drawn on one huge bristol board that Arthur bought from an art store. The board was larger than 22x17. I think it was about 20x30 with some areas that wasn't cropped. HUGE board!

How did you manage to scan such a large board when the inks were finished?

Thank you. I've scanned sections of the art board and stitched them back together on Photoshop. I had to removed the top of my scanner cover in order to place the artwork flat. If you look closely towards the middle of the page top or bottom, you can see the slight difference of white.

Thanks! A week in between individual pages. I would work on other pages, then a few figures here and there on this one, then back to other pages, and so on until I realize it was done.

Good question! Normally, it's much easier to scan double page spreads when they're two boards taped together which you can fold in half.
Just so I can have a file on my own for this piece, I took apart the lid/cover on my scanner, scanned half the image while holding it in place by hand, then scanned the other half, and finally placed them together with Photoshop and did some touch up work. If you look closely, you can kinda see the halves on the white boarders around the frame. The left side is a bit darker because I couldn't keep the artwork completely flat on the scanning bed.
Arthur has a much larger scanner at his place. When I was done, I brought it back to him and he took care of the scanning for Marvel.

Amazing work as always man! You really do Arthur Adams justice, and that can not be an easy thing to do. You do make it look very natural though. I enjoyed this when it came out.
