Description
This my entry for 's contest. Yay!Her comics were a source of inspiration for this cartoon.
I had a lot of fun drawing it.
Come to think of it, I never had this many characters in one drawing. It's sort of an hommage to the group drawings of Acero Tiburon, but I never thought is was this much work! The end result is worth it me thinks.
If you have never heard of her, go check her out. Her stuff is funny as hell!
Hope you like it, I sure do.
Edit: Forgot, but I would like to thank my gf for inking this piece (since I lack a decent tablet).

what tool did you use for the art?

I used just a plain old pencil for the art/sketches. I always use a pencil to start with.
Then I scanned it and asked Angeline-b to do the lines since there are so many characters it was going to be hell to do it with the mouse since I don't have a tablet. I get it back and open it in photoshop. First I colour everything with flat colours and after that shadows/shades. Adding a background and I'm done.

A tablet is sort of a flat touch-screen thingie that interacts with the stylus (pen-thingie).
It's like drawing on paper, but then on a screen. It's very nifty.
Creates very sleek, digital art, in this case lines.
Traditionally, after sketching comes actual inking and colouring and you scan the entire piece and upload it. I do these two things digital though.

If I'm correct the bamboo is the easiest to use, albeit with less features and gimmicks, but it gets the job done just as well.
For starters it's a great tool I think, but some prefer the touchscreen or a tablet the size of a A4 or even a A3 whcih a obviously the more expensive models. It's not really the question which one is better, but which one serves your needs the best (and your budget).

A bamboo A5 format I think is cheaper.
I don't have one at all. has one and that's a Wacom Citinq 12WX. She traces the lines over my art to make it look better. Usually when it's too time consuming or too complex to do just with a mouse.
