but here's the thing... he's carrying a dead child when the tensions between the two races where at maximum. i'm not surprised they reacted that way. i mean he could have left chara's body in the ruins or you know buried it and then went through the barrier. he didn't need to carry it into a populated town. because it looks really bad and since humans know monsters steal souls most of them are going to assume he killed the child.
