Description
Ariel. I believe she is one of the most obvious examples of longing for something more, especially in a Christian context: all she wanted was a home in another world -- a world above, no less. Likewise, I believe every human is born with a longing for God and heaven, that place of utter joy and absolute perfection. C.S. Lewis agreed, and called this longing sehnsucht. Read about it in his Mere Christianity.Snow White: http://walkingonthestars.devia…

Ooh, that sounds very interesting! I would love to read more peoples' views on this sort of thing, but so far I've only found one book.

"God of the Fairy Tale", by Jim Ware. It was more about the moral themes in fairy tales and other stories (like MacDonald's "Phantasmagoria") whereas I prefer considering the allegories and symbolisms behind the tales, but I still found the book very interesting.
Since you did a research report on it, did you happen to find any other books on the subject??

Oooo!! I'm going to have to read this!
No unfortunately not...I was searching for something like that though! I analyzed the moral themes and the symbolism. "The Little Mermaid" is so great with that symbolism though!!
