Pack 4 LRMs in the daishi + targeting computer and everybody will hate you.

Targetting Computers don't work with LRM's. They only provide a bonus for direct fire weapons.

Yeah, in the board game, but with Mechwarrior they do. I'm talking the video games, not the real Mechwarrior.

Ah, haven't played this game in a long time. I still remember when I had a customized Daishi, with a "shock" laser (Uziel's signature weapon) , and twin "loop" cannon that fires blue bullets. (Madcat MK II's signature weapon) I think was the ultimate of all mechs. Able to destroy a small mech, Raven and Osiris, with all weapons combined together. Strangely it does not overheat.

When I replied his piece, I didn't know a lot about Mechwarriors since I haven't played it for 7 years already so all the weapons names that I used in my modified Diashi are forgotten.

PPCs and Gauss Rifles are one of best weapon combos both in MechWarrior games and tabletop BattleTech.

Does it overheat though, or the Gauss Rifles don't generate heat? I was in instant action so I was using them constantly.
My attack is like suicidal, I run up to a mech and then fire all my weapons, and then back up and repeat. It was hilarious.

Gauss Rifles don't generate heat, that is why the combo works so well.
In cooperation with Mecha-Master [link] I designed a mech called Typhoon that has davastating salvo of 3 Clan Gauss Rifles and 2 Clan ER PPCs. In tabletop Battletech Clan weapons are significantly stronger than Inner Sphere weapons, in computer games not so much, because of balancing reasons.

i love the design, the daishi rocks. but one minor thing that is that there is barely any side protection to the main body. yes there are arms but it only covers so much. my tactic is when enemies shoot locked missles head on, i twist my torso so my unarmed arm is in the way of the body so that i can last a bit longer in battles (i do that alot with the awesome's left arm since i don't any weaponry there and the big plate on it works real well protecting the side of the body) its like a meat shied...well except not meat. i cant do that very well with daishis. but overall great mech. me gusta
