Request for She read my mind on this one, let me tell you.If you don't feel like commenting on all these submissions, feel free not to. (Which is ironic, since all these requests are made for all my faithful commenters.
)So . . . yeah. I go from lesbians to THIS.
We're back at square one: man meat. I used a reference on iStock for this, and let me tell you-- it REALLY killed me to put a shirt on this boy. Because the original model wasn't wearing one.

I love this boy almost as much as I love my own male characters. Which is, if you don't know me and my male characters, is WAY too much. There's something about him and this story, A Great and Terrible Beauty, that gets to me. Maybe it's his Indian-ness? Between him and Dired, I'm sensing an obsession with dark-skinned, dark-eyed boys.
Funny. I just watched the movie Slumdog Millionaire yesterday. I love you, Jamal. Almost as much as Kartik.

I actually have no idea how good the actual book is. I mean, I was kind of guilty in A Sweet Far Thing for not paying attention much to first 100 pages because Kartik wasn't in them.
Though, there are lesbians in the book as well. So it still applies to you.

I think everyone's guilty of that. I even do that when I write. I'll go through a long dry spell (Lost Stars II almost KILLED me. A hundred and fifty pages without Dired. ACH!) and nearly kill myself.

Hahhahaha I know whatcha mean. This last chapter of Apartment 203 actually wasn't going to have any Nessa in it, but I finished writing it, re-read it, and couldn't help feeling that something terribly important was missing XD

Oh, wait. I actually counted. From the pages 178 to 374, there was no Dired. That's . . . nearly 200 pages. But wait! There's more. Through almost the ENTIRE third book (which was 473 pages) there was no Dired. Partly because it was through Elizebeth's POV, and partly because they were in a different world and visitation to Dired was impossible. I fit him in at the very beginning and very end, but . . . yeah . . .
Still. At least Paula was around to entertain me. If both Dired and Paula were gone . . .
