I would understand similar comments coming from a christian if I shoot a naked girl on a cross. the clockwork orange features among my top 5 movies/books (with blade runner at the top) and that was intended as a tribute and not as a joke... but even if that was the case, i see no problem in making fun of an icon of pop culture... after all, that's what's all about. having fun!
