Honestly, I don't see much here. It's not bad, but it's not great. And because it's not great, because of the subject matter, it loses something for me. I'll be honest, I'm leery of 'artistic nudes', as I am of photography, because it is easy to get away with something lackluster and still call it 'art'. That's not to say I don't appreciate artistic nudity, or photography; I've seen plenty of stunning pieces for both, and they had plenty of artistic merit that made me appreciate them.
The human body is naturally beautiful, and naturally appeals to other humans. But that makes it very easy to rely on the human subject (in nudes or otherwise, though I notice it's done much more in nudes) to 'do the work for you' and create a beautiful piece.
This photo has some merit, and there is some sense of design here. The elements of repetition are strong and obvious, especially the hands, and in the second hand is there is a clear and obvious focal point. Three is strong contrast between light and shadow, as well as between soft and hard. The framing of just the hips and hands is original. I feel the choice of black and white was good, because the actual colors of the piece I can't imagine adding anything.
But there's nothing really gripping, or particularly special, about this piece. The Three Graces is a superficial title, and the subject is basically three naked girls touching each other. There is no message, no real content, and that is visually pleasing beyond what is 'already there'. It is the photographer's job to know what to do with the subjects she or he is given to make them better than they already are. Basically, I don't see any real 'vision' in this, and little impact, and I feel it could have been better somehow.
So, like I said. It's not bad, but it's not great, and with subject and medium like this, I feel the need to be wowed before being at all impressed.

Maybe you don't see much because there's more than meets the eye.
There's much left to the viewer to imagine and fill the blanks.
It doesn't seem to be a textbook case of relying on nudity and sexuality to gain attention. As it's even controversial if it's indeed a nude shot - all you can see is their hands and hips afterall.
And I disagree with you in a major point: it's easy to rely on the natural beauty of the human body to create beautiful pieces. And my point is easy to prove. Just take a look at the artistic nude gallery here in DA. You'll see stunning artwork. But they're outnumbered (although never outshined) by a load of disgusting, cheap, talent lacking shots. It takes more than a camera and a nude body to create a beautiful nude portrait. You must know how to deal with models and make they feel confident, must know which poses will make their particular body type look better. Must know how to handle lighting, composition, post-production... and unlike any other genre of photography, you must always be concerned in make it look tasteful.

I disagree. I just don't see it in this work, I'm sorry, but it doesn't look much any more special than most of the 'cheap, talent lacking shots' I see make it on the front page all the time.
But well, we do agree that shooting nudes successfully is very difficult; it's hard to do something very special with, something 'great', and I need to see 'great' in a nude to see something worth looking at. That's just how I feel on the subject; some people are less picky though, that's true.

seems like we have unmatching points of view on the value of adult art.
it seems like you're not really an enthusiast of the genre as I can tell from your gallery and for your faves.
maybe it contributes with some bias on your judgment of the artistic merit of nude photography. but I can say that on my own too. I'm deeply fond of the nude female form and it certainly adds some bias to my view too.
in the end, maybe you should watch more hentai, and I should watch more Naruto.

Nice picture... I think it would be better if there was something to alude to the three graces besides them being female and there being three of them. I also want to apologize for the stupid folk who cant say anything nice, since they wont do it themselves.
