I finished watching this anime a few weeks back and just now got around to doing a fanart of it…The anime was melancholic and I’m not sure how I totally feel about it, but I shipped these two kinda hard.
It’s Reki and Rakka from Haibane Renmei. I tried to do something a bit contrast-y, hopefully it turned out well. I can’t tell really;;;.
and let it be known the gimp is the crappiest art program ever

Oo lovely representation of Rakka and Reki's fateful bond near the end of the series. The orange is a nice contrast to the muted sea green sky of Glie.
Personally I'll always ship Reki & Nemu. I dunno, something about how they tried to get along in life like humans when they really aren't; that's my cup of tea. ¦,þ

I can see why you'd ship them too, they'd be cute. It was just something about how Reki was always worried about Rakka and doing all she can for her that made me feel that they needed each other.

Ah yes, very true. I think The Communicator knew all along too they had a connection but it was up to them to figure it out.

it looks really nice. the shades came out great if you ask me. though the bottom character seems a lot smaller then the top. i dont know if its just me or so but it just seems that way.

it is in a rather hard perspective i guess. i wonder if it would feel different if i knew more the sizing's of the actual character i mean two peoples perspective can be different in view to each other. it could just be me. but regardless your quite welcome. glad to see your still improving. ive not exactly done much drawing since that semester at the college
