Words just don't cut it when I saw this bunch of fursuiters at the Singapore Cosfest XII.I saw several of them the last two times I went,but I never had the courage to say "hi".This time however, was with them.
I passed him...and did a double take.My mind was screaming"Didn't you draw that recently?" This was too good to pass up,so I MANNED UP AND OFFERED SALUTATIONS!...after stalking him awkwardly from a distance for a good half an hour.
Ah,the woes of the socially awkward.XD
That being said,he was pretty awesome! He invited me to stick around and follow them.The answer was obvious...I fled,screaming...or at least my soul did when I said yes.
They were absolutely ADORABLE yet badass...a combination that they pulled off somehow.I was amazed and hyped at how people connected and welcomed them; random strangers pulling out phones and cameras for photos,kids trying to hug them...I never knew Singapore was so open.I lived here 19 years and I thought we were a bunch of overly reserved,polite people who would flee at the sight of a fursuiter in fear of impending hugs!
Sadly,I had to go without speaking with the rest of them,but it was a real eye-opener.Needless to say, it merits a picture!

I going to start by saying, out of the 5 characters in this: I know of Alexia, and you. Now, to draw a piece with 5 characters. 5 Distinct characters... And having only one of them to be actually yours... I can't see how anyone wouldn't be impressed with that. It's just brilliant. Let alone, your experience with them, it's quite warming.
Honestly, I'm glad that other people seemed to have a positive attitude toward furries and the fursuit ones. It breaks away from that stereotype that "all we are, are yiff driven animals who think nothing but sex and fetishes all day." It's really nice to see them be respected well in public.
The only issue I had with this piece was the Katana, and how it looked dull/"square-ish". Although, that could've been for safety reasons (if Kazuki was actually carrying one around). But the rest of it looks amazing, mate. I'm sure they can't help but love it.
And don't get me started on the "woes of the socially awkward" I know of that too well.

And there I was just lurking and talking to my poor (non-furry) friend who I dragged along.XD
I could guess who were furs by the shirts they wore though.Somebody wore a Slightly-Damned shirt,others wore animal printed shirts and internet-themed stuff.It's somehow quite distinguishing.
I wanted to talk to the suiters,but the poor hearing and scary spotters (they look like bouncers,lol) deterred me,haha.

I've never been to one before.Generally only met them at the cosfest out of pure coincidence.
