Description The long awaited tutorial is here!
Looks kind of like a hyena but backwards in terms of which end is higher.

Notes: I couldn't find a tanuki skeleton (or muscle chart for that matter), a raccoon was the closest I could think of.
I drew the muscles while looking at a dog and a lioness. Both were already pretty similar I had to assume tanuki are too.

The lack of text is because what little I can immediately think of to say is provided in the Shagadore guide: [link] (also because I kinda lacked the room for it XD)
Different creature, same basic approach to getting the correct proportioning.

By the way Tiger, I'm not sure if I ever showed you this but this person is an art-tutorial pro: [link]
While most of her tutorials are of people both anime and realistic, they go into more detail than I can immediately provide. I highly recommend these for both beginner and seasoned artists. I myself have learned a ton from these. Enjoy, bud!

Oh, I think I remedied the skeleton problem. I found a skeleton of a raccoon dog here. [link]
The only problem is that the artist drew the feet as plantigrade, and raccoon dogs are digitigrade.... Ah well, all the bones are anatomically correct, it's just the position that's wrong.
