Oh neopets... lol sometimes when I get really reallly bored I would still go check up on my old account. Their graphics have improved a lot over the years and oh oh oh the comics, those are so cool to look at (despite the cheesy storyline, tat is)!! One of my old high school friend showed me Gaia, but I'm still not sure wut it is... is it artistically related at all?

er what is too far? Yes of course i am serious ._. u go to the downtown vancouver VAG for ur essays. And yeah I thought u were referring to the Notre Dame in France, but nvm ur not, i dunno anything about the Montreal one. The slide that's gonna be in ur art history exam will be on the French Notre Dame not Montreal... lol nothing's artistically famous in Canada except Aboriginal arts. And yeah, u will be memorizing artwork names, artists, years and all the context behind it (time period, art movement, warfare..etc)

well emily carr is only 1 bus ride from downtown anyways, u can go afterschool on tuesday nights because at that time they take donations instead of admission, so a quarter can get u in there too
Yeah usually essays are 6-7 pages, so it must be over 1000 words, it might seem rly hard, but u'll be learning a lot of stuff so there are many directions u can expand on, shudn't be a problem for u. Yeah u do know some art movements and time period, tat's great! You don't have to worry now, u can still make it without starting early lol.
Like i said, if ur gonna buy second-hand books from seniors, i can't help ya. But if u find out which book it is, u can go buy it online(amazon etc) now to get it cheaper. If the textbook is still "The Visual Arts: A History" (7th edition), maybe i can loan it to u for now until u get ur own.

OMG,,, over 1000 words?? that must be frustrating and tiring!! TT_TT I know it shouldn't be a problem.. but this is new to me!!!! I mean I can imagine me banging my head on the wall, trying to come up more ideas....>.>... Usually how many days does teacher give you to finish the essay? :S I hope two weeks LOL. Nooo!! not some... only few. and I forgot them anyway.... =.= But there was a disability department person who was generous to tell me what kind of lectures that are going to be covered in art history. So i was a bit relieved!! But omg, there's a lot of videos.. I am just wondering if we have to watch it all.. I am going to bawl my eyes out...O.O;;; but at least I know what the class is going to be like. whew! one down! Now, I am still really nervous for Literature & Composition (since its not my strong subject) and Academic Core seminar courses. :S hope the lectures are not as hard as it would be. Do you know what kind of materials will be covered/discussed in Literature &Comp? -sigh-
Do I have to buy the textbooks early? if I don't buy it online, will it become expensive if I buy it in SeptembeR? i am just asking because I still haven't confirm with textbooks yet.

First day of class u will get the schedule of your whole semester so u know when ur assignments are due and when the exams are. So technically u have a lot of time to write ur essay but if ur choosing things from VAG to write about u have to wait until the right exhibition opens.
Ohh the link sure seems helpful, no worries, it looks like a lot but then u just have to watch a couple each week. Umm i think ur over reacting a bit, it's not tat scary really I made it thru, see! ^^ Umm for lit and compo, in the first semseter i think it's just some short story reading plus 2 novels to read, it's just brainstorming, reflections, pretty much the highschool stuff
Students usually get their textbook when the teacher tells them which book it is at their first class, so no u don't Have to buy early unless u rly want to get a head start. I dunno if the price will raise in Sep but not likely. My professor was Trish Kelly. I am 90% sure ur gonna use the same textbook as mine, the stuff matched all those videos in the link, im sure they won't vary the teaching subjects in just a year. Maybe i'll just bring u my textbook to our next sketching meetup? U seem so worried
