Anyone notice how every Sonic cartoon or anime ends their series without a proper ending?Sonic the Hedgehog technically never ended because of that cliffhanger in "The Doomsday Project".
Sonic and his siblings never found their mom in Sonic Underground.
Sonic OVA never got the chance to shine.
Sonic and his friends were heading off to find Eggman after what he did to Chris Thorndyke in the ending of Sonic X.
Now Sonic Boom... will it end with a bang or a boom?

Well I'm saying that they won't, but even if the TV episodes Sonic Boom do not have a proper ending, there may be a reason why. I read that this is was like the setup for the Wii U and 3DS games.
But, yeah, all of them should've had a nice ending or a good absolution, even if Robotnik/Eggman was not ultimately defeated. Indeed, Queen Aleena should've been reunited with them, although I doubt this would've happened with Robotnik still in power.
As for Sonic X, I remember that the end of the third season was supposed to be just a season finale, not a series finale. In fact, I keep having dreams that the series continued on.
Now I notice SatAM was not mentioned in the description. Is it possible that the comics served as a continuation of that?

I mean, you could make the argument that the show ended with Sonic, and the others going on an adventure that you'll never see, sure. But isn't that kind of the status quo for Sonic in general? Eggman stirs up trouble, and Sonic and co. set out to stop him?

about sonic x, it was SUPPOSE to end in session 2 back when sonic was going back to his world but 4Kids payed money for another session. (that's just what I've heard but it makes sense)

Sonic the Hedgehog: Purposely left like that as a Season Finale but could've continued. Was left to the imagination even though another season would've been preferred.
Sonic Underground: Must've been cancelled before completion.
Sonic OVA: From what I gather was never meant to be a full series, but WOULD have been the best!
Sonic X: It was purposely left like that, I think. Eggman sent Chris home so... happy ending while the never-ending battle against Eggman continues as before the show started.
