I hope she's recognisable as a Butterfree? ;;
This angry little lady is Rosie McCann, and you'll meet her in the Snuggly Psyduck soon - but that's all you're getting for now.*sprays spoiler-b-gone* and Also, I am proud to declare that she has the most outrageous pair of hips I have on any female character. Ever. :V She's named after this song: [link] and appeared as a doodle here all the way back in January!

Someone mentioned that her original design was too similar to Donahue, so I went back and fixed her up. She's due to appear in the next couple of pages, so this is tentatively her final design. I'm not sure whether people will like her colour scheme and her anatomy, so her design's still barely under construction, and if anyone would like to lend a hand - the critiques box is open! c:

This is a GREAT interpretation of Butterfree. I love especially the huminoid shape with the more human face and expressions. I've seen too many people try and just slap a human face on a bug, and it never ends well, not even on something pretty cartoony.
I want you're drawing style... so much.

But from her hips to her knees needs to be a tad shorter, and from her ankle to her toes needs to be a tad longer, to get those huge butterfree feets, imo :3

She's gorgeous! I absolutely adore her design, but something about her muzzle color doesn't seem quite right. I can't place my finger on what, though...
Maybe it's that they're all very similar in value? It's hard to see the color difference between the first and second bands, and I think the green could stand to be either more saturated or a slightly darker shade.

I'd have to think a bit more on color schemes, though. Can I get back to you a little later? I could play around in Photoshop a bit and put together a small swatch-test to figure it out.

Actually, Rosie has a brother. Attacus has fluffier antenna and a more bug-like face (those mandibles, I imagine, are kind of like muttonchops. :v Women are cray cray for those muttonchops.) [link]
