Just started collecting MOTU Classics and I was looking for the neck parts of Mekaneck (I bought a cheap China copy of him so it came w/out accessories) and I stumbled upon this page some how and I have to say, this is really cool! So cool in fact you've inspired me to do the same thing, maybe add some different paint details here and there but this looks great. I'm a big fan of the 80's cartoon version from when I was a kid but I very much enjoyed the revamp they did 10 years ago. The figures from the 200X were great but lacked articulation, the new classics are great but I wish they would add more 200X stuff then just an extra head every now and then. Again, very cool, I know I'm a little late on the ball but if you can respond to this, I would like to hear how you did it. I'm really good with painting details on figures, I have a bunch of Warhammer 40K pieces, but these new MOTUC don't have any screws holding it together, it's all glue. Great Job, hope to hear from you.

Yeah I really liked the 200X versions myself. I wish the figs came with stuff to make them look more 200X. As far as the figure goes I swapped out Mechaneck's hands, boots, and head onto the Snake-man Man-at-Arms. You could just boil the figs in water for a bit. They'll get all rubbery which will make it easy to pop off the limbs. After that it was just painting. You should posted it when its done. Good luck

Got my extra Snake Man at Arms about 2 weeks ago but I haven't had the chance to start yet. I have the blue paint for the base but I forgot I put all my other paints and brushes in storage. I had thought about doing what you did to take them apart by boiling them but I've heard its safer to use a heat gun or blow dryer. I'm not all that concerned about making the figure more brittle after boiling it, it's not really gonna get played anyway. I'll be sure to post it when I'm done, maybe I'll start posting some of my other customs as well. Thanks for info.

I've never had an issue with boiling them. I dont let stay under that long just enough for me to take them apart. Only just make sure the pot is bigger than the fig and its not sticking out of the water (it will melt trust me). Looking forward to seeing the customs

I almost wish I hadn't seen this, because the official release totally pales in comparison now. Awesome job!

Thanks. Mattel could have probably done this way but fans of he-man don't really like the 200x versions of the characters. I don't why I really thought they were cool looking.
