Description
Working on my Paper Mario game idea, Paper Mario: Stolen Worlds, I had done an idea that no other Paper Mario game ideas and fan games ever did before; Partner Cards.What are those, you asked? They are cards that allows you to bring past Partners (and Partners from other Paper Mario fangames) from past Paper Mario games, allowing their inclusion without putting all of them into a single plot. This is to allow the following results;
- Vastly increase replayability by allowing different team combination (Stolen Worlds allows up to three Partners per battle), and even different strategies to beat different baddies and bosses.
- Put up an emotional impact for long-time Paper Mario fans (and a shock value for fans unfamiliar with the series) by having Wario (almost) singlehandedly imprisoning so many Partners (and even some long-time friends!), leaving Mario absolutely astonished the moment he see Wario revealing a whole set of Partner Cards.
- As said before, it allows previous Partners to return without getting involved in the plot. Previous Partners that would make sense to be involved in the plot can be recruited without getting the respective card.
There are 14 sets in the game, in which each is represented by a Partner in this image, from top left to bottom right.
- Star Spirit Set (Paper Mario 64), represented by Goombario (canon).
- The Thousand-Year Door Set, represented by Vivian (canon).
- The Chaos Heart Set (Super Paper Mario), represented by O'Chunks (canon, Partner in DerekminyA's recut version of Paper Mario: Color Splash).
- Sticker Star Set, represented by Captain Azure the Pianta (DerekminyA's recut version of Sticker Star).
- Color Splash Set, represented by Louie the Memphawk (DerekminyA's recut version of Color Splash).
- Drawing of Disaster Set, represented by Pirlumbus the Piranha Plant (my previous Paper Mario game, Drawing of Disaster).
- Erased Map Set, represented by Stetson the Bonneter ("expansion campaign" of Drawing of Disaster).
- Double-Sided Set, represented by Dr. Tetrus the Chill/Blue Virus (Krexxal from Fantendo wikia site).
- The Ancient Book Set, represented by Violet the Shadow Siren (from the Zieghost himself).
- Relic Hunter Set, represented by Prince Montoir the Monty Mole ("cancelled" Paper Mario project of DerekminyA, Relic Hunter).
- Wonder Journey Set, represented by Puum and Berruhs (another "cancelled" project of DerekminyA, Wonder Journey).
- Heart to Heart Set, represented by Pizazz the Bob-Omb (WesternSkies, also from Fantendo Wikia site).
- The Rise of Shadow Set, represented by Humbi the Nimbi (Pyrostar, yet also from Fantendo Wikia site. I drew all of his Partners as a side-note).
- Mushroom Allies Set, represented by none other than Mario's beloved cowardly brother, Luigi. Unlike the other sets, they don't represent any specific Paper Mario game and instead represent the mainline and side-series of the Mario franchise, be it old friends like Peach and Yoshi, to reoccurring foes like Bowser and Kamek.
Unlike standard Partners, Partners from cards cannot be used outside of battles, although some of them can still have an impact of the story or have something to do with the main plot. This is because bloating them all for field purposes would be needlessly nightmarish job to do, and let the field purposes for the standard Partners.

Is that a Nimbi? A virus? A BOB-OMB WITH A JESTER HAT??
Seriously, why aren't you in charge of the Mario franchise right now? Seriously, you'd be good at world building. ^^

Oh, those three aren't my characters (though I did designed the Humbi, the Nimbi partner for Pyra/Pyrostar), you should see the credit in the description.
That's a dream but that would do a lot of stressful jobs working at Nintendo, though I can definitely give inspiration for others.
That's pretty flattering, I don't really think I know what do you mean by this, but thank you!

World building is making the world itself seem more open, this is done by having a variety of characters and deeper lore about the world itself. Basically, what I'm saying is I feel like you have a lot of good ideas that could be made into an actual Mario game.

Aah yes, I see. I do knowledge that the Mario world have a poor world building lately, at least until Odyssey.
