yea its a bit of a nit picky call, shes pushing her hip out and twisting a little bit, and I imagine the tabard to be heavier material that is gonna fall more flat. the tabard is resting on her hips so its going to follow that, not her stomach.

It reminds me somethin' like the Hercules movie, just in the style. To me it looks like her left him kind of exploded a little. I know it's supposed to be angled, but with the Tabard like it is it looks kinda odd. If it were moved to be more in line with her stomach then it'd look better.

I like this a lot old bean, but I have to agree with Richard on the calves though. I, however, enjoy the big thighs. I've seen that Caldwell book around. If you loaned it to me, there would be innumerable high fives in your future.

Yeah if i made the calves smaller she would appear like a "faster" looking character, but my idea was that she is supposed to be a strong, humble not so perfect character but still attractive.I am also myself a lady with larger hips thighs and calves, and i guess because i am that way i tend to make all of my female characters heavy set on the bottom, especially with my lifedrawing stuff....another "habit" to try and get out of.
Thanks for the comments and fav and yes some time in the future you may borrow the book.

Yep I am. I'm actually going up to Toronto on saturday here to check the place out for a week but I will be here for September. I should look for that book while I'm up there.

hoooray! well keep in touch and if you would like to meet up sometime during the week and i could show you around a few places. i know this city can be pretty intimidating on your own.
And also, i think my friend is still looking for a roomate.

That sounds great Karly. I just have to see what my Aunt has planned for me and my sister though. I do know that I plan to be at Max the Mutt for a tour on wednesday or thursday. Would be cool if I can meet up with you there. And I'll keep that in mind. The plan right now is to possibly stay with my Aunt and cousin for the one year and I might look for an apartment for the summer. Who knows. *shrugs*

Caldwell is very good.
Carefull when exaggerating the size of forearms and calves beyond the width of upper arms or thighs, though. Larger lower legs "slows" the character down visually.
