... okay, I think I overdid it with the cooling jacket on this one. ^^
This redesigned long laser rifle barrel features a MASSIVe heatsink on either side, cooling down the emitter medium so far that it can create a laser beam with a higher radiation intensity than even an improved charging laser barrel. However, the barrel needs a whooping 3.5 seconds to cool down the medium after a shot before it reaches 100 percent of its potential again, making the RoF on it even slower than on the regular laser sniper rifle with its charging barrel. In order to indicate the status of the efficiency, the sniper barrel of the Photonis features a power indicator close to the muzzle. Two nixie tubes show the weapon's current energy output level, which can be partially observed even when aiming down sights if the weapon is equipped with a tactical sight instead of a scope.

I need to do some balancing on this one now, once I got it right I can FINALLY release the mod on the nexus - took me far too long to get everything up and running. :-P
