Description
Once a year comes The Giving Day. It's a day that's extremely important to many Vicarri, not only for the children who are given presents, but for the parents who are gifted children. Many who longed for pups rejoice in their delivered family members, it's the only time of the year when the poor can look forward to having a child created just for them. Eileen picks a few pairs to gift to and leaves the baby on their new homes doorstep in a basket with a blanket and pillow to keep warm. The starry goddess will also leave a box of supplies, food, and fresh water before fading away into the snowy night.
It seems like a beautiful ceremony to Eileen, but it's actually incredibly dangerous.
There lives a man near the northern wood, where it never stops snowing and never grows warm. He's pale furred with a long and gnarled body, crowned with huge candy colored horns.
Sometimes, the night before Giving day a blizzard will start up over a village and his bones will rattle as he walks through your quiet homes, seeking a meal. He takes newborns off your doorstep while you sleep, or maybe even drags an adult screaming back into the woods. No one dare leave their house to stop him if they hear the cries for help in fear he may take them too. The blizzards always leave as fast as they arrive, all that remains is a town shaken and blood on the snow.
Very few have entered the icy section of The Dark Wood and lived. Most freeze to death, others are slaughtered and made to become decorations for the trees as a warning to trespassers.

Look at that bad boi. I really love this reference a lot! The description is really nice too, but I feel that it would be cool if it rhymed like those old Christmas tales O: however, that's going to be very hard to do aaah X'D It's good as it is though. Just a small idea if you ever want to go plus ultra on him haha
Beautiful art as always <3
