OUTFIT UPDATE: Here's L-chan's new formal attire. Please use it if you're doing a collab, art trade, etc.

Look who it is
This is a battle application for #Battle-Frontier ; I decided to use L-chan for this. I did this because: 1) I wanted to participate because it looked fun 2) I wanted to give a little more general information for her, like what Pokemon to expect from her and 3) my old profile of her when I started brainstormed ideas for "Only Human" (sometime in August) is old and crappy.
So there ya go.
Another thing is that Photoshop died on me in the middle of coloring...so I had to start ALL OVER AGAIN. I was seriously about to cry.... I also wrote everything with my own handwriting because I thought it would be faster, so....please excuse my crappy handwriting
But I digress....
Here's some stuff you need to know about her:
Name: L-chan (Japanese); Lauren (English)
Age: 15
Application: Trainer
Goal: To get in the Pokemon Championships, despite the fact that she's disabled.
History:
Lauren grew up with divorced parents as a child, and as a result, she never quite knew her mother. She usually didn't mind it, but on occasion, she would wonder what her mother was like or ask her father what happened that lead to the divorce.
She only had one friend growing up (although he can't be mentioned for privacy reasons), and they hit off well. They've known each other since they were young, and despite Lauren's shy demeanor, she always felt comfortable talking to him. He had some family problems when he was young, so it felt like she could relate to him on some level, despite their age.
One day, her friend had to move on to the Sinnoh to travel. Lauren, however, couldn't come because she didn't pass her trainer test. Before they split, he gave her a silver key necklace to remember him by; it belonged to his mother when she was Lauren's age, and the thought it would be meaningful to give it to her.
A few years later, Lauren once again took her trainer test, and ended up getting a C+, and she got a Mawile that she named Korey. After that, she left to set out on her journey to the Yoru region, where all the regions coincide.
She now travels with her friend after reuniting in the Eterna Forest, and despite the climbing accident she endured that left her without the ability to walk, she's determined to become a strong trainer.
Strengths: Kind, caring, gentle, can do certain things on her own despite her being disabled (like throwing a Pokeball with her dominant arm), seems to care deeply for her Pokemon, has a good reason to stay determined and get to her goal.
Weaknesses: Painfully shy, cowardly, oversensitive, weak body type, has a virtually useless left arm (she refers to it as her "bad arm"), suffers from plasmophobia (fear of ghosts) and lygophobia (fear of dark places), very clingy

Korey
Species: Mawile
Nature- Jolly (Highly Curious)
As the result of getting a C+ on her trainer test, L-chan was set up with a baby Mawile that she named Korey. Although Korey is the "baby" of her team, she always looks out for her master, and gives her words of encouragement. As a result, they share a very strong bond. She's also very curious, but it can get her in trouble sometimes, and she's known to be VERY naive.
For some reason, the people Korey comes in contact with often can understand her despite speaking Pokemon language, like how everyone can understand Coco from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.
Archie
Species: Mightyena
Nature: Timid (Very Finicky)
Archie was first seen as a Poochyena in Eterna Forest that startled L-chan while she was going through the forest (again). Her friend reassured Lauren that it was okay to interact with the Poochyena, because "it's probably as scared of (her) as (she) is of it". Lauren ended up giving it cookies as an apology, but Archie instead followed her all the way at the end of the forest. Lauren asked if Archie wanted to join her team, and he agreed. Due to their similar personalities, Lauren seems to get along very well with Archie.
Jazz
Species: Marakacchi
Nature: Quirky (Likes to fight)
Jazz was originally residing in the Desert Ruin, but was exiled out of her pack because she couldn't dance as well as she could battle. Wallowing in self pity, Jazz finds Lauren, and decides to battle her. After a while of battling, Lauren eventually catches Jazz, and she joins Lauren's team. She is sometimes uses dance moves as an evasion of attacks. For some reason, she has the upper hand when it comes to evasiveness.
Elliot
Species: Ampharos
Nature: Serious (Good Perserverence)
As a Flaafy, Elliot's electricity was the source of energy for Snowpoint City. One day, he was fed up, and he knew he had so much more potential, so he broke loose and attacked the villagers of the village- while she was still trying to find Candice! Elliot attacked her, but she retaliated by challenging the Flaafy to a Pokemon battle. Since joining Lauren's team, Elliot learned to respect humans a little more, and although he has his occasional outbursts, is a major powerhouse of her team.
Kiara
Species: Flareon
Nature: Naughty (Somewhat Stubborn)
While Lauren had to resign the annual Pokemon Contest due to an extreme case of stage fright, she received an Eevee egg that she won out of pity, and Lauren eventually hatched it. However, Kiara was not fond of Lauren, and has bitten her on many occasions, but acts completely normal around others, making her think that she was crazy. While Kiara has matured quite a bit since her evolution, she does enjoy "pushing Lauren's buttons" once in a while, like sticking her tongue at her and purposely using the wrong move.
Solo
Species: Mothim
Nature: Lonely (Sturdy Body)
Solo was found as a Burmy in the forest near the Old Chateau, and he appeared to be depressed. Lauren asked if he was lonely, and he nodded "yes" and followed her into the mansion. Eventually, Solo decided to join her team. Not much is known about Solo due to his isolated demeanor.

BIG SHINY EDIT: I pretty much changed a few things about her history, since I pretty much violated a few rules without realizing it. Why?
