A contest entry for #Pokemon-Oc-Adventure
Okay, making this icon was a lot harder than it needed to be. Here's my process:
Step 1- I had to ask everyone's permission to use artwork for the avatar. First, I asked ~xilver100 if I could use a piece of artwork of his (the one shown on slide 3. He agreed, as long as I asked ~Slivermoon602 's permission to use the character (the present was really for her). After a while, I asked =SkyGiratina to use some of her OC Sachiya (this was artwork she had when she still had a crush on Ash). After a day or two, they both said yes.
Step 2- Get started on each frame. I think this was one of the hardest parts, because I was REALLY PICKY! First I thought the letters for the third slide should flash, but that didn't work (I use iaza.com, and it doesn't always agree with me with the font size). So after a while, I added another picture of Sachiya (the one of her with Ash's hat).
Step 3- Animate. Basically, see if the frames are the correct size and if it looks good. The frustrating part came when I realize slides 2 and 3 were too plain. I fixed them up, while simotaneously making it the right size. I spent about an hour doing this part, and used up all the free conversions! Thankfully, I was happy with the final product, and now I'm submitting it to you guys.
(Phew! That was pretty lengthy! )
Here are the OCs shown:
Slides 1 and 4- This is =SkyGiratina 's OC, Sachiya. This was her early design when she still had a crush on Ash. I really think this was some of her best work, in my opinion.
Slide 2- This is my wheelchiar-bound OC, L-chan. She was originally used in my fanfiction, but is now in my doujinshi, "Only Human". In case you're wondering, she lost her ability to walk when she accidently slipped into Peter's pool. (I get asked this all the time )
Slide 3- This is ~Slivermoon602 's persona. It was originally a birthday gift from ~xilver100 so getting permission for this image was...complicated....to say the least
