PRINT NOW AVAILABLE ON DeviantART.Hey everyone! So... I decided to do a lil study for myself to help understand certain things about the female shape and form better (stomach in particular). Im no expert at anatomy, so theres definitely more accurate interpretations out there by other artists, but thought Id share it with you all anyway.

EDIT UPDATE - Discovered a line I didnt connect that carries on from the ribs, passed the hips and runs down into the leg muscle that reaches the knee area.

That's like the ideal of a woman's body. Strange somehow. Even real models have to be photoshopped to have a stomach like this. To me it looks like a woman who seems to be beginning to get anorexia :/

That's nailed it down perfectly! I have problems with the stomach and hip too -- although I have more issues with shoulders and torso. I tend to use photos of myself as reference, but I have very wide shoulders (size 12-14 in clothing) and a tiny waist by comparison (size 6) -- so it never looks realistic!

The studies look really amazing! I know you say you're not the definitive artist for anatomy, but you've got a great handle on it so far.
