This is another reference sketch of Mariel and Rina. It's better than the other (I think), but it'll hopefully get even better when someone else draws it

I really like this sketch, but I'm really bad at making poses look like they have weight and depth (especially on Mariel, she just doesn't look quite right to me >.<")

The poses look really good, and I think Mariel looks fine, except she;s not really sitting on anything... But just one question: which did you draw first, the people or the rigging?
I'll see if I can give it a whirl~

Originally she was sitting in the rigging looking through from behind, but then I switched it so she was sitting on the front on an open rungs, but the transfer wasn't perfect, hence the weirdness >.>
I drew the rigging first, but from what I learned, draw it just as a light reference, then the people, then make the rigging interact with the poses better when you do the inking (or whatever).
I can't wait to see it <3 and I hope it takes you all 12 >

xD No doubt it will, what with a bumpy plane and that thing called sleep *which is unnecessary by the way*.
I usually draw people first, but that never turns out either cause then they're all over the place and the ground goes from a straight line to a wavy...thing. But I suppose that's why there's Photoshop
I think your way is right; I dunno though, I've never taken proper lessons >^<

Yup. I'm heading home bright and early tomorrow morning.
Speaking of which, I had to wake up at 7:50 this morning ...... 7 FREAKING 50!!!!!!! X.x, oh well, at least I actually slept (which is better than most of my classmates. I swear my roomie and I are the most rested people on campus right now XD)

I was lucky. My roomie and I went to bed at about 1 and woke up at 7:50, so not quite seven hours. Yaay *attempted happy dance that fails as instead falls asleep standing up*
Seriously tho, I'm going to bed as soon as I'm packed .... so hopefully by about 11 ... that'd be nice ... v.v<(zzzzz)
