Actually, they are. They just don't look like it. (I have a pair not too different - see my gallery for some pictures of me wearing them.) I've worn similar out to dinner before. The trick is to move slowly.

They only hurt if they're not made right, actually. I have a pair similar to these - not quite as crazy - there's no platform at the toe - but they don't hurt. People are astounded when I go out in them. I can't walk long distances, but who likes to do that in heels anyway? That's what men and cars are for.
