Description
Okay, admittedly these aren't quite "sketches", and some of them I spent more than a few hours on, but all the same I wasn't quite happy enough with them to post them individually. These drawings cover roughly the past 5 months, the same time frame as sketchdump 001, and exclude traditional artwork and a few ongoing projects.
From left to right and top down:
- A random dragon that I doodled and then painted on and off for the next few days.
-Two lemora that I spent a couple of hours on apiece. Both started as drawings of humans, but I switched them to lemora after getting frustrated with the facial proportions. Lemora (pronounced Leh-MUR-uh) are an original species I designed for a scifi roleplay that never really got off the ground. They're lemur-like humanoids with a clannish society and a reputation for thievery. I only have one lemora oc named Indri Kazachlin (in-DREE kah-ZAH-chlin); these two might(?) be acquaintances of hers, but mostly they were meant as random lemora.
-Below the first lemora is Bygul, one of my ocs. He's a shapeshifting spirit, but he usually appears as a blue bobcat-like feline, with or without wings. I have several other ocs in the same story-line as him, but for some reason he gets the most attention.
-Below the random dragon is Yight, an oc from one of my oldest and most developed worlds. He's more or less the antagonist of the story. I intend to make him and a bunch a closely related ocs proper reference sheets soon.
-Another random dragon that I worked on on and off. I rather liked the design, so I might incorporate them into Yight's world...
-Finally some FR dragons! I had an impulse to return to the process I use while doing commissions on Flight Rising, so I drew a pair of my own dragons. The left is a plague snapper named Pleurotus. He's a wandering hermit of sorts that like's to solves other's problems using mushrooms. To the left is Hush, a nature tundra who also wanders and is somewhat reclusive. She's more aggressive than Pleurotus, and is liable to attack anyone who disturbs whatever patch of forest she's currently residing in. She is magically linked to a small swarm of butterflies, which isn't the most intimidating familiar, but she manages to be a formidable opponent all the same.
