Description
Here's a little chart outlining the "hierarchy" of the Acerbi family. It's a little cluttered, but it was mostly to draw these characters and kind of show how the organization is structured.
A messy description below:

Solomon was the Don until the 80s when he retired because of old age. By his side as consiligere was Hayek for several decades, until he suddenly passed away due to cardiac arrest. When it was time to find a successor for his business, Solomon had two possible candidates he had groomed separately for the position as Don. The first candidate was Yuda, who had climbed through the ranks and proved himself, and Elliott, who had inherited a large import company and had gotten in contact with Solomon and established a close friendship with him through business related matters. When the time came to choose, Solomon deemed Yuda too ruthless and selfish to take over, and chose Elliott. Yuda was enraged and hurt, feeling as if Elliott, a close friend at the time, had betrayed him. He broke from the organization immediately. When Elliott became Don, he chose his close friend John Connolly to be his consiligere. Garcia was an esteemed soldier at the time, and Elliott, whom had introduced him in the family, promoted him to capo. He has much bigger influence than the other capo's Cookie and Frank due to his experience and the respect he has garnered. Cookie came to be capo only two years before the story is set - she's somewhat of an adopted daughter to Elliott. Frank also leads a group of soldiers, but they're more often that not referred to as a cleanup crew who disposes of unwanted bodies. Frank is also in charge of handling money.
Lucia is currently being groomed to take over as Don. While it is not necessarily a position hereditary by blood, Lucia saw it as her responsibility to step in if something should befall her father. She is however, cruel and ruthless.
