Description     At the end of science class, Mr. Scruffy waved to Sonne as she was leaving and she came over to him. "Could you meet with the club during lunch?" The teacher asked her, "There's some things that Dan had concerns about before we move forward with the gardening club's planting around the school."
"I can make it, but what is this about?" Sonne asked, "Will the others be there?"
"I have asked around and talked with other teachers to let you all meet for a club meeting." Mr. Scruffy said, "There's not gonna be issues with the school staff or the hall monitor. As for what Dan has been concerned about, it's better he explain, he seems to put a lot of words into what he was trying to tell. Something about the flower arrangements that will not work out really well."
"Oh, something wrong with the flowers?" Sonne pondered this for a moment, then took a breath, "I'll be there, Hopefully we can get this figured out."
"It's probably not as serious as he's making it out to be." Mr. Scruffy said, "The whole club should be there, the four of us. Just be back here by lunch and we could get this resorted pretty quick before we get to planting after school. We'll still have something good for the weekend."

Still, through her next class and into lunch, Sonne had been trying to think about the floral plans and what might have been wrong with them. As she was walking to the class, and worry just grew trying to figure out what might have been wrong. Then a voice broke the silence.
"Heya, Sonne." Up behind her came, up a familiar cat, "You got called to the club too? Did you call the meeting?"
"N-no, Casper." Sonne said, "Dan had some issues and the other teachers arranged this for us to meet. I'm worried how serious this is if it's just before our planting and we're leaving classes and such over it."
"I won't complain too much." Casper said, "I get to skip my English class."
"Yes, but what could be so serious to warrant all this, and the teacher's help?" Sonne asked, "Could our whole plan be obstructed or something? Is this all gonna fall apart and only now do we realize it?"
"Sonne, calm down. It's just flowers." Casper smiled, "I know It's a bit more to you and this passion, but I think you're making a mountain out of a mole hill. we'll figure this out and fix it. but first we gotta figure this out. Relax."
They eventually came to the door and Sonne took a breath before stepping inside.

Already, Dan was over by the tables looking over the papers he had sketched out and seemed to be waiting for them.
"Glad you both came," Dan looked over to them, "We might have an issue with the flowers we were planning with flowers outside the school."
"That's what I've heard." Sonne said as she walked over, "So what's the issue exactly? I thought we were just gonna replant the usual flowers and add a few more to create a contrast."
"That sounds like it would look really pretty." Said Casper with a smile.
"It would, but I was checking the soil content around the flowers already there." Dan said, "It's a very low acidity."
"Isn't that a good thing though?"
"It depends on the plants, in the case of what we want to plant beside these flowers, not at all." Dan started to point out at a few spots on the papers, "Because of the low acidity, what we want to plant will eventually change to the same color as the plants already there, it'll look bland or messy like this." He kept moving his hands to parts of the drawings, "I've contemplated that we could try other plants there, or maybe add some acidic to the soil, but we'll either end up with dead plants, eventually or just plants that are not gonna grow as well. Especially if we're using perennials."
Sonne took a breath, but started to look over the papers.
"I think we're gonna need to order some other plants to put in these locations if we want this to work out." Dan said, "So far this looks like it'd be a big mess."
"Maybe not?" Sonne said, "Switching them around could work, and then we just add some soil that's less acidic to the area, then we could have those diverse colors again."
"That could take more work though, and how do we keep the acidity from spreading to the new soil?"
"Some barriers?" Sonne said "Some paper or carboard, something biodegradable." She gave a shrug, "It's only until we get the plants thriving there on its own. After that the colors should stay put."
"Is this based on your own experience again?" Dan looked to her with a concerned look.
"She's had more experience than a book, it seems." Casper said, "Lighten up, think outside the box for a bit."
Sonne looked to her, then smiled as she looked back, "Dan's right that it would take more work, but it would last a while, and get a couple problems out of the way."
"We also wouldn't have to buy anything new, just maybe borrow some stuff from the grounds keeper." Dan said, "If Mr. Scruffy could talk with teachers to let us all meet like this, I'm sure he could get us those tools to borrow as well."
"We best clean those after we use them, as a bit of a thanks to the grounds keepers." Sonne added.
"This is gonna be great. I just know it." Casper chuckled, and then the bell rang, "Well I guess our last class is awaits. See you all in an hour." and she left with a smile.
Dan left as well, face near expressionless as usual. Sonne left after, and started to smile as she took a deep breath. She watched as Casper walked away, and then left for her own way. "Seems she was right, nothing to worry about... She's great."
