Thatch is a member of the Horde Marauders, a deadly legion of Deerhead's best warriors.

As a fawn, he was similar to other Horde Fawns but displayed higher intelligence, great tactical awareness, and strong problem-solving skills. As the Black Forest expanded, Deerhead recognized his potential and kept him nearby. As an adult, Thatch became a vicious and unique creature with violent spikes growing from his back, which he used to flaunt his title and remind other Deor of his superiority. He also possessed bladed tentacles on his wrists, which he utilized to spear his prey. Throughout his life, he remained devoted to Deerhead and became the de facto second-in-command of the entire Horde. In terms of raw strength, he is not the strongest marauder, but his craftiness gets him far.
