Description
Now, this isn't fantasy even though the category sais so, it's faries from the Swedish (Probably also the rest of Scandinavia as well) tales what I got to hear as a kid. Useally they are found near water or dancing on the fields misty nights, but these are comming from inside the mountains, in the forests of some reason xDRelated content

Elves yes, but that makes people think of Lord of the Rings and stuff, these are not material or anything it's... Well, fairy or elf, both works (Elf is the direct translation from the swedish word, älva, obviousely).

Yes I know, but elf of lord of the rings look more to vanir or north myth than elf/älva of your tales. But it's wonder me because i have ever see on a english version of swedish tales a light girl like in your draw was at first call litle elf and after fairy...and elf is english word? because this is true that it's exist a famous picture wich it's calle Angsälvor ( with elf who dance in circle) of nils blömer...and elver inspired the english culture for the word elves/elven ? Thank you for information because I'm french and sometime traduction of your tales are bad...

No problem Elf = English word, that originates from the same old norse word as the modern swedish words for alf and älva
And yes, the drawing you speak of is one of many that describes the swedish elves/faries, mist-beings that dance in circles on the meadows and lakes.

Ho thank you I understand more why there is the word elf, because I find this strange that this was a scandinavian word with the original name alf and älva. For alf it's really difficult to find what it is at old myth, because the alf (faeries) are certainly fallen valkyrie with their king, Odin ?

This looks really fairytale-like. I like all the detailing you put into this work, like the trees, the big mushroom and the gnome hiding behind the tree.

Thanks
However I feel that I must explain that the thing lurking behind the tree is not a gnome it's a troll (Look and you'll see the tail!)
However I don't blame you, I was the one smart enough to give it a red hat xD
