Description This name is a double entendre, because it shows the aftermath of some apocalyptic event; the dark moody sky is quite oppressive, and the tortured naked tree shows some pain and barreness about the scene. I do apologise, its a very crap photo. The lighting was terrible when I took it, and had to be edited to get the colours right. In reality, the colours are more saturated, and the tree is more obviously blue; although not horribly so. I will try and upload another when the lighting in my room is better (IE when its not miserable outside).
The name Aftermath also refers to my maths teacher, the knowledgable Mr Crompton; who took the picture that inspired this painting. Hope you like it.

at first i thought that the lower detail of the ground in comparison to the sky made the picture un balanced, but looking again i change my mind - the ground seems an extension of the sky in some ways. You have captured the tree VERY well though - the idea of a skeletal tree is a favourite of mine - i'll upload a sketch i did in one of my GSCEs wen i find it to explain, but back on topic, the shadow, particularly the upper right branches is, in my opinion near perfect. overall a very good pic that id be very interested in having a copy of

Printed copy or electronic copy? If you want electronic you can just d/l off DA, if you want a print well, you have a printer. I'd offer myself only my colour cartridge is near empty. If you are serious about printing a copy, let me know and I'll try and get a better pic of it. The low light levels made it grainy, and I had to edit the colours a lot so they dont look like how the actually are. t.

Oh, and ta for the nice comments, much appreciated ^_^
