Holy crap, look who it isnt, another manakin! I am beginning to get annoyed with him, I've been forced to draw him for so long. In fact I am getting a bit depressed about my art work, I will write a journal musing on this later.However, I like my brushwork on this, sort of rough and yet still pretty well blended. I think the dark colours make it a bit moody; and the close perspective adds a sort of cosiness.

I, too, like your brush work here. Everything blends well and it's not like... floooowing. It's the way brush strokes should be, defined but not.

Yep, I know what you mean, and thanks for noticing, it was exactly the effect I was after. My other painting of a manakin in my Deviants is in a similar style.
