Its strange that i always end up doing fanart of her, considering the fact that she is not one of my favorite characters from the show...Anyway, this is something i started as figure practice using her figma as reference, but then my art class started discussing geometry and shapes in relation to art, and the teacher gave a very open assignment that could basically be anything as long as it involved geometry, so I decided to add a geometric background, like I have seen anime illustrations do frequently in the past to accent the form.
As a general rule I have tried to avoid fanart in my art classes, and originally had a different piece in mind for this assignment, but, as these things go, blew that one off to spend most of the weekend working on this, and there is no way my other idea will look anywhere near this good.
This is also the first piece that i have worked on and uploaded on my new computer, and iI had much trouble getting my scanner to play nice with my new computer
I used copic markers for the coloring on the figure, and for the blue lines, along with graphite for the grey scale parts of the drawing and the lines, because I strongly dislike liner pens, and the rest of the background was done in watercolor pencils.
EDIT: the scan that i had previously uploaded seemed dull, especially in the whites, so i tweaked the brightness/contrast values to make it look more like the physical image
