Description
For my CS410 class this semester, the project that was iteratively constructed was a basic ray-tracing program. The final part required making an impressive scene to show off multiple recursive reflections, and that's what this is.I just kind of placed things in a ring, and picked semi-random colours for the spheres. The solids are the Platonic solids, and are vaguely coloured according to the element that solid is supposed to represent. The non-dodecahedron polyhedra are placed so that opposing elements are opposite each other across the center.
I probably could have shifted the look-at point to center things better vertically, but eh.
All the model files were generated by Meshlab then manually modified to work with my program.
This image was rendered in 30 minutes from a program that I wrote.
