Description
In all fairness, I probably should have looked into replacing the battery on my watch before it died, since it had been telegraphing its condition by not being able to power the display while the backlight was active ...for the past month and a half. Also I don't think that I've ever replaced the battery (or if I did it was years ago) so I probably had this coming. The headphones, on the other hand, had been working fine since I bought them more than a year ago, and then stopped working a day or two after I invoked my own hubris by proclaiming that they had worked fine for over a year. From my experience, getting a year's worth of almost constant use out of a pair of $15 headphones is pretty good though. New headphones honestly sound better (amazing what $5 more will get!) but are on-ear on-head headphones, instead of the behind-the-neck style I prefer. The wire seems less likely to break on these too.
Sorry if this comic comes off as 'whiny' (or poorly done), but I felt that this was an annoying enough series of events to warrant something.

I know that feeling with broken headphones...

Both the broken pair and the new ones are wired; my (7-ish year old) MP3 player doesn't have wireless capabilities.
I didn't depict that in the comic because trying to make a thin wire in Walfas would have been a bit of a pain and I didn't really feel like doing more external editing beyond putting the panels together.

I see, do you have the wires go under the clothes or at the outside? I find them more easily to break down when under my shirt because the wire gets snugged sometimes and the sweat made the wire a little crunchy/hard after a long period.

I usually don't have the patience to put the wire under my shirt, since even though I could get (and have gotten) caught on something, if I need to take the headphones off completely and put them in my backpack it's easier. Though when I'm wearing a hooded sweatshirt I'll have the wire under that but not my t-shirt.
