Description
"This is the song written for the train chase! This is the chase, Rocky and Ken!
He tried to kill me with a forklift...!"
So yeah, I finally finished this after procrastinating on it for too long. It's a forklift, based on a Toyota 8 Series, complete with the ability to lift its forks regardless of which direction the forklift is facing. Speaking of which, in addition to the side view, there's also a front view and rear view, complete with mechanisms for both directions. The mechanisms don't look super great when extended for the front view, but eh. For the font and back views, there are versions split into layers to allow Walfas characters to look like they're sitting inside.
I've done a lot of sitting on this in various stages. It took me a few months to trace the original scans I made of my sketches, and a few months more to actually get around to this. I think it turned out okay. Though, as always, the fact that this is real-world proportioned and scaled relative to a typical Walfas character's total height means that it doesn't look super great with a Walfas character driving it. Oh well.
Included in the .zip file are the following:
-The forklift side view with separate fork unit and lift rails, as well as separate wheels to assist with animating movement.
-The forklift front view with separate forks, rails, pulleys, and seat.
-The forklift rear view with separate forks, rails, pulleys, and control levers. (the innermost rails, the pulleys, and the fork mounting thing look the same from both sides so there isn't a specific rear view version.)
All of these bits are at 50%, 100%, 200%, 300%, and 400% relative Walfas character scale.
Walfas Create.swf was developed by KirbyM and Thefre.
The lattice-crust pie was made by me.
Sketched in ink on paper, then scanned, cleaned up, and preliminarily coloured in Paint.NET, then scaled and re-coloured in Inkscape.

Looks good~! This is probably your best prop yet.

This is great! Making the same prop from multiple angles is one of the most important things to do when designing custom props, yet so few people do it.

Well, I did do it for that Su-47, and I'm thinking of maybe doing FP views of the AK-74 and AK-74M sometime. :3
